Viktor Frankl: Why to believe in others

“In this rare clip from 1972, legendary psychiatrist and Holocaust-survivor Viktor Frankl delivers a powerful message about the human search for meaning — and the most important gift we can give others.”

“Neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor Frankl pioneered an approach to psychotherapy that focuses on the human search for meaning.”

Frankl, V. (1972). Why to believe in others. Toronto: TED Conferences, LLC. source url.

On a day such as this, where I ask myself such absurd existentialistic questions, like: what is the true meaning of life? what is meaning after all? I’m thankful for great conversations with my husband and sister, great books I’m reading (at this moment: Dance, Dance, Dance by Haruki Murakami) and tumblr, where great things are being shared. I bumped into this great source of inspiration Viktor Frankl:

“If we take man as he is, we make him worse.  But if we take man as he should be, we make him capable of becoming what he can be.”
